Make a donation.

As a charity, we rely on donations to fund our work. We are grateful for any and every donation -large or small, one-off or regular, gifted through shares or payroll - because they all help us to save lives.

See below alternative ways to make a donation.

Covid-19.

Like many UK businesses and charities, Jay’s Aim has been negatively affected by the events of the past year. To keep our team and members of the public safe, we have been careful to ensure we are fully compliant with the government’s Coronavirus-tackling restrictions, including cancelling and postponing many of the events we had planned (as well as events others had planned for us). Unfortunately, this has made a huge dent in our fundraising, and we have not realised our funding ambitions for the past year. While we will of course continue to prioritise safety until the public health situation improves, it remains an unfortunate fact that sudden cardiac arrests will continue to happen with or without a global pandemic. Young people are still dying every single week.

We need your support now more than ever, so that when it is safe to do so we can return to schools, universities, sports clubs and businesses and train the young people who have missed out on our previous cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated electronic defibrillator (AED) training sessions. We are desperate to keep up the pace of our public access defibrillator (PAD) provision across the South-West; it’s also important to us that our postponed cardiac screening session is rescheduled, and that a further screening session is funded, too. A lot to aim for, but with your support we have no doubt that Jay’s Aim can achieve all this and more!

Payroll Giving.

Payroll giving is a convenient way to make regular donations direct from your salary. Quick and easy to set up, it is the most efficient way to give; your donation is deducted from your gross salary (salary before tax is taken), meaning you pay 20% less than the amount stated. For example, if you pay basic-rate tax and decide to donate £10 every month, only £8.00 will actually come from your salary - the other £2.00 will be contributed by HMRC. If you would like to donate to Jay’s Aim via payroll giving, please fill out our online form and we will contact your employer to ask them to set it up for you.

Leaving a Gift in
Your Will.

If you're thinking of leaving a gift to Jay’s AIM in your will, thank you for considering us - all donations make a big difference to us, and they are very much appreciated. We understand that this is an important decision, and we are happy to meet potential donors in person to explain exactly how their gift will be used in funding our work, and to show how their legacy will benefit future generations. To learn more in the first instance, the website rememberacharity.org.uk is a great place to find clear, concise advice on how to go about leaving a gift in your will. If you are keen to go ahead, please contact us to ensure you have our correct name, address and registered charity number; your local solicitor or registered will-writer will then be able to write or update your will. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
